Police Describe Scene as Horrifying

Authorities responding to the shooting encountered a scene that investigators described as extremely disturbing.Police were first called to the home after receiving a 911 report of an aggravated assault at a residence located in a neighborhood northwest of downtown Jackson.

When officers arrived, they discovered the three victims inside the home.Chief Brackney later called the crime “a heinous act” and strongly condemned those responsible. She described the suspects as “the vilest of human beings” and said the attack was both intentional and cruel.

Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard said the case was among the most disturbing incidents he had witnessed during nearly a decade of service. According to Howard, “Every first responder was visibly affected” by what they saw at the scene.

Officials described the crime scene as one of the worst they had encountered in years. Police said investigators moved quickly after developing leads connected to the shooting. Authorities identified a vehicle believed to be linked to the crime and attempted to stop it. According to police, the driver initially refused to pull over. However, officers eventually managed to safely surround the vehicle and take the occupants into custody without further violence.

During the arrests, law enforcement recovered three firearms, including a 9mm handgun, an AR-style pistol, and another gold-colored handgun. Investigators said the weapons have been collected as evidence and will undergo forensic testing. Police are also examining whether any of the firearms were used during the deadly attack.

Investigators also tracked down a vehicle belonging to one of the victims that was reportedly taken from the home during the crime. The vehicle, identified as a red 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage, was later found abandoned by police. Authorities believe the discovery could provide valuable evidence as the investigation continues.
