Ghanaian Actress Beverly Afaglo Baah Passes Away

Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo Baah has died, her husband, musician Choirmaster, announced on Sunday, May 24.

Choirmaster, whose real name is Eugene Baah, shared the news via social media, posting a photo of his wife along with an emotional tribute.

“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,” he wrote. “It would have been just four more days to your birthday, but the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you home.”

He described Beverly as his strength, happiness, and biggest supporter, saying he would continue the plans and dreams they had started together.

“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever,” he added.

Choirmaster noted that the day was a dark one for family, friends, and fans, and said Beverly would forever remain in his heart.

Following the announcement, several colleagues from Ghana’s entertainment industry, fans, and loved ones took to social media to express shock and offer condolences to the family.

Beverly Afaglo Baah was a popular figure in Ghanaian cinema, known for roles in films such as Return of Beyonce (2006), Crime to Christ (2007), Girls Connection (2008), The Prince Bride (2009), Playboy (2010), The Game (2010), Single Six (2011), About to Wed (2011), Total Exchange (2011), CEO (2012), The King’s Bride (2013), Big Girls Club (2013), A Northern Affair (2014), Sidechic Gang (2018), and Aloe Vera (2020), Red Carpet (2022).

She was also a successful entrepreneur, best known for founding Traffic Shawarma, a popular chain with multiple branches in Accra. She trained as a beauty therapist and ran her own beauty business in addition to her acting career.
