AFC Bournemouth delivered a statement performance in the race for European qualification with a convincing 3–0 victory over Crystal Palace, reinforcing their growing credentials in a highly competitive Premier League season.
The result extends Bournemouth’s unbeaten run to 15 matches, the longest current streak in the Premier League, and lifts them into sixth place as their push for European football gathers momentum.
From the opening minutes, Bournemouth imposed themselves with intensity and attacking intent, pinning Palace back and controlling the tempo.
The breakthrough arrived early, albeit in fortunate fashion. A dangerous corner caused confusion in the Palace defence, and former Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma inadvertently turned the ball into his own net under pressure.
The goal gave Bournemouth a deserved lead and set the tone for a dominant first half display.
Bournemouth continued to press forward, creating repeated openings and forcing Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson into a series of saves.
Their pressure was rewarded in the 32nd minute when a penalty was awarded following a collision inside the box. Young forward Eli Junior Kroupi stepped up and confidently converted, doubling the lead and putting the hosts firmly in control.
Crystal Palace struggled to respond, and despite having spells of possession, they failed to register a shot in the first half, underlining Bournemouth’s defensive organisation and discipline.
Rayan Seals the Victory
Palace attempted to improve after the break, introducing attacking changes in search of a way back into the match. While they showed greater intent, they still found it difficult to create clear opportunities.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, remained dangerous on the counterattack and managed the game with growing confidence.
The decisive moment arrived in the 77th minute. A flowing move saw David Brooks release Rayan, who drove forward and finished clinically across goal to make it 3–0 and effectively end the contest.
The goal reflected Bournemouth’s composure and efficiency in attack, capping a complete team performance.
European Ambitions Strengthened
For Crystal Palace, the defeat is a setback in their pursuit of European qualification, with upcoming fixtures against stronger opposition increasing the pressure on their campaign.

For Bournemouth, however, the result reinforces their remarkable rise this season. With momentum building and consistency improving, they are now firmly in the race for European places.
In a season defined by fine margins, Bournemouth’s form suggests they are no longer outsiders, but genuine contenders in one of the most competitive Premier League campaigns in recent memory.
